Thickener
Cellulose nanofibers (CNFs) with excellent transparency and dispersibility:
thickening and dispersing agents for preparing fresh and refreshing formulations.
A biomass material made of nanosized fiber (pulp) obtained from wood. Made from renewable forest resources, it is attracting attention as a sustainable new material.
Aurovisco™ CS has excellent transparency, dispersibility and thickening properties.
Aurovisco™ CS and Carbomer were applied to the skin and allowed to dry. Afterward, the sand was shaken off, and the stickiness was evaluated. Compared to Carbomer, Aurovisco™ CS did not stick to the skin at all. Aurovisco™ CS is not sticky and has a smooth feel.
Mist formulations using Aurovisco™ CS have thixotropic properties that allow them to adhere firmly to the skin as they return to a gel that does not sag after being applied to the skin.
"Thixotropy" refers to the mysterious property that viscosity decreases when mixed, shaken, or force is applied but returns to normal when nothing is done.
In addition, when spraying a gel formulation using a general polymeric thickener, only a straight liquid is emitted, but the Aurovisco™ CS mist formulation spreads well and can be dispensed softly.
